The modern siding of the cottage in light ‘pepperwood’ taupe, accented with mossy green trim, blends into
the natural surroundings, making it barely visible to boaters.
“The orientation for the site and the orientation of the cottage suited a walkout basement nicely,” notes Matt McCague, owner of Muskoka Custom Cottages, the builder chosen by Jim and Lynne after a long search. “So we designed the cottage with a beautiful walkout basement with a nice lakeside deck. Having that full-height basement walkout is always nice with the stone rear entry.”
